Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty is a 2014 Hindi action thriller movie directed by A.R. Murugadoss and starring Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha and Freddy Daruwala. The movie is a remake of the 2012 Tamil film Thuppakki, which was also directed by Murugadoss. Plot

Virat Bakshi (Akshay Kumar) is a captain in the Indian Army and a member of the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA). He comes to Mumbai on a holiday with his family and friends. On a bus ride, he notices a suspicious man who leaves behind a bag. Virat chases him and finds out that he is a terrorist who has planted a bomb on the bus. Virat manages to defuse the bomb and catch the terrorist, who reveals that he is part of a sleeper cell network that plans to carry out 12 serial blasts in Mumbai on 12/12/12.

Virat teams up with his friend and sub-inspector Mukund Deshmukh (Sumeet Raghavan) to track down the leader of the sleeper cell, who is known as "Leader" (Freddy Daruwala). Virat also falls in love with Saiba Thapar (Sonakshi Sinha), a boxer who is the sister of one of his friends. Virat uses his intelligence and skills to eliminate the sleeper cell members one by one, while Leader tries to outsmart him and execute his plan.
